I'm done experimenting with Kubuntu. Final verdict -- it sucks! I'll play with Mandriva for a while then switch to Debian or Slackware.

well i haven't used kubuntu but there should be some kind of configuration manager like win's control panel. in there you should be able to configure GRUB. you just need to know what partition windows is in. if in doubt, google :). this is how linux gurus are born - when something is broken, fix it.

once you have your fun with kubuntu, switch to slackware. enjoy :)

Hey, c0dec, I don't have a problem with GRUB. As soon as I update Kubuntu, on my next restart it simply refuses to log me on and I'm one of those who love leaving their systems to boot while doing something else. What's the point booting to an inoperable OS?

I don't even know how to configure it to boot automatically to Windows :-(

so this is where your geeky stuff lie :)
dude, whats wrong with GRUB? keep it as your bootloader, you can configure it to start a default OS after a set period of time, if you dont select an OS. it rocks man! but LILO rocks harder.
